J & B Materials has been providing quality Service since our founding on December 4, 1979, by Robert Young. In 1986 a branch was added in Escondido, California to the original El Cajon location.

J&B Materials relocated the El Cajon location in 1988 to accommodate its' continuous growth. J&B Materials has increased the volume of sales by approximately 10% a year, adding personnel, a fleet of trucks and technology to keep up with growing demand.

In August of 2000 we acquired Tracy Building Materials adding depth to our Lath and Plastering Lines. We continue to add new building material products in this ever-changing industry. Our mission statement "Where service is the Key" is truly the attitude we strive to project.

Amarok is a national Gypsum, Lath and Plaster dealer buying cooperative.  J & B Materials joined AMAROK to better our company by being able to give our customers more competitive pricing, better service, and the latest technology.

We want to give our customers the best product for a competitive price. AMAROK will allow the smaller building material suppliers to be competitive with the larger multi-branch suppliers, which keeps us on a level playing field.
