My name is Bob Young; I am the President and Owner of J & B Materials. I wanted to let you know that J & B Materials was founded in 1979 as a trucking and stocking company developed into a full on building materials supply company. And over the years we’ve done residential, commercial, government work all over the country. We belong to a network of other independent gypsum dealers in the nation that gives us greater buying power and puts us on a level playing field with our large competitors. We built this company based on our mission statement. Our mission statement is “Where Service is Key.” We believe in that whole heartedly, I believe in that whole heartedly, we develop relationships, strong relationships with our customers and we’d like to add you as one of those. J & B Materials is a Founding Member of Amarok. 
Amarok is a national buying Co-op. for Independent Building Material dealers across our nation. J & B joined Amarok so that we may provide our customers the best product for a competitive price, better service and latest in technology. Our Customers benefit through our membership with Amarok allowing us fleet purchasing power, insurance quotations, group knowledge and information sharing which are all important factors that haveallowed J & B continued success in this growing industry.
California Building Material Dealers is an organization owned and operated by its members. They joined together to develop confidence, promote communication and gain group influence to benefit its members and the building material industry. Members personally gain by getting to know each other and by sharing ideas, problems and information concerning our businesses and our industry. of the CBMDA in 2004 and currently serves as Vice President.
